Seacompression 2013 – Test run success!

Wowza! We really pulled it together and were able to give our community a taste of what’s to come. And they liked it!

We settled on using scaffolding that was lent to us by a friend. Set up started Friday evening and we quickly had the structure up and the crocheted pieces placed, ready to be attached within an hours time. Nothing so great as quick, easy, set ups!

Saturday we spent about 5 hours attaching the panels to the scaffolding and creatively solving puzzles. We also put up a wonderful color changing, LED, spotlight that we rented from PTNA in Seattle. It was such a great idea – and addition.1457469_10202155104896637_112709683_n1450320_10202155105056641_1349801792_n

Doors opened at 7pm, Saturday, Nov. 2nd, 2013 and by the end of the night, nearly 2000 people came and went. Suspension of Disbelief was exposed to a lot of eyes – and better yet – to a lot of butts. Many folks touched it, climbed it, sat in it and interacted with it. At one point we counted up to 10 people on this small piece at once. 1410715_657981457566138_2143350011_o1401946_657982040899413_2147225415_o 886437_657981534232797_1877668645_o

Breakdown was also a smashing success – with many hands showing up to undo what we’d done.

Well done Sodders 😉 – Well done!
